Lanzarote holiday villas - how do i choose which one

Lanzarote is the perfect island destination for that holiday in the sun and is ideal for self catering holidays with hundreds of lovely holiday villas to choose from. But how do you choose which one?

Firstly, you need to choose which resort youґd like to stay in. There are 3 main resorts – Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca. Each has its own character and attractions. Puerto del Carmen is the largest and busiest resort with 6 kilometres of sandy beaches and a long promenade lined with many shops, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs. Costa Teguise is a little smaller and is a family resort with beaches, shopping centres, cafes and restaurants. Playa Blanca is the newest resort and is a little bit more laid back and quieter with seafront cafes and restaurants, upmarket shops and a stunning new marina. In addition there are typical whitewashed Canarian villages inland such as Tias and Nazaret, suitable for those who like a relaxing holiday away from it all.

Having chosen your place to stay, you now have to find a villa. Most villas have private pools, so if you are coming to the island in winter, make sure the pool is heated, preferably electrically, as unheated pools will be rather cold. Your main criteria will be your budget of course. Villas in Puerto del Carmen with private pools tend to be a bit more expensive as most of them are 3 bedroom, behind the main strip and are therefore within walking distance of the beach and amenities. Exclusive areas like Los Mojones can be quite expensive. Costa Teguise has fewer villas and they tend to be a little bit less expensive.

By far the greatest choice of villas is in Playa Blanca where you can rent a 2 bedroom villa without a private pool for about Ј300 a week in the low season and about Ј600 a week in peak season for a villa with a private pool, and a 4 bedroom villa for up to Ј1300 a week in peak season. Playa Blanca is quite a sprawling resort and generally speaking the closer you are to the resort centre and beaches, the higher the price you will pay. With a lot of villas, a hire car will be necessary as a lot of the developments are on the outskirts of the resorts. Prices for villas inland will be a bit cheaper and many offer spectacular views.

Knowing your budget and being clear on your priorities, you can now search for your villa. By far the most popular way is on the internet by putting such phrases as “Villas in Lanzarote” and “Luxury Villas Lanzarote” into search engines. There are also magazines like Private Villas available in most high street newsagents and in supermarkets. You have the choice of buying a package or villa only from a large villa agent or renting direct from the owner through the many private rental websites. Normally prices are cheaper renting a villa from a private owner, and often the standard of accommodation is higher, as the private owner has more incentive to please, wanting you to come back again next year. Once you have maybe picked out a few villas you think may be suitable for you, donґt hesitate to ask questions about the villa and the area before deciding.

Good luck and have a happy holiday in Lanzarote!

The geriatric older dog

:
Dogs mature and age at much different rates, usually according to size and breed. It is commonly held that dogs live 7 years for every year that we man does. However, this serve as only a rough guide when converting and calculating your dog’s age as dogs grow up very rapidly in their early years and then slow down.

For example, a 1 year old dog is comparable to a 15 year old kid, at age 6, he is comparable to 40 years old in human terms. By 12, it is consider a geriatric dog and is equivalent to an 80 year old man.

It is generally believed that the smaller the dog breeds, the longer they live. Small breeds such as Terrier and Poodle may not slow down until 13 or 14 and could live to 17. On the other hand, larger breeds such as Great Dane and Wolfhounds rarely live pass 9 years.

Diet
A healthy diet for the older dog should be senior food that are formulated with low in fat and salt for a healthy heart, lower calories to help combat obesity since they are less active, lower protein to help the kidneys and liver, and higher fiber for the bowels to prevent constipation.

A switch to a specially formulated commercial diet for the older dog will usually perk him up. If you have no clues about your older dog’s diet, you should consult your vet for advice.

Medical attention
You’ll probably find that your older dog needs more medical attention than before because this is the time where age-related problems start to kick in. If possible, try to make more than just an annual visit to the vet and keep vaccinations up to date. A yearly geriatric screen, including blood and x-ray would also be useful to keep a closer eye on his health.

Patience
Patience is a key factor on your part when you deal with your beloved dog as he grows older. More often than not, he will develop age related problems such as tooth decay, periodontal diseases, vision impairment, hearing loss and also less active than before.

In any case, try to give them more time and understanding because they are not in their prime anymore. With enough love and care, older dogs can still continue their enjoyment of life well into old age.

Take good care of me when I get old. Someday you will be as old as me and you will see how it feels. ~ unknown dog

Adjustable bed for ideal position while sleeping or sitting

An ideal position while sleeping or sitting is one where your body muscles are not under tension resulting in complete relaxation. This position can be achieved where the legs and the upper back are slightly on a raised level which distributes the body weight in harmony with gravity. It is here that an adjustable double bed will be highly beneficial as a flat bed will not ease your body tension completely leading to tossing and turning. An adjustable double bed will allow you to sleep and relax in any position that you desire with over 1000 positions to choose from for purposes ranging from sleeping, reading, watching TV, eating or for pure relaxation.

Your daily beauty sleep will not be complete if any of the following four factors namely light, noise, and temperature and of course the bed that you are sleeping on are not up to the desired level. While you may adjust the other three factors according to your desired comfort you won’t be able to do that with the bed unless you have an adjustable bed. Just what you may wonder is an adjustable bed and why would you really need it when you have been sleeping on flat beds all your life. First and foremost you will need to know the ideal positions that our body is naturally accustomed to and the way we abuse it continuously both consciously and unconsciously while not only sleeping but also while sitting and performing any task.

An adjustable double bed comes in two basic types’ latex foam and Innerspring and both types offer the same comfort in different ways. An adjustable bed is highly recommended for people suffering from back pain, poor blood circulation especially in the legs and night time heart burn or acidity. All these problems can be solved with an adjustable bed which would elevate your upper body in the desired angle thus freeing you from circulation and digestion related complications as compared to a flat bed.

An adjustable bed generally comes in a steel frame with riveted joints and a bottom frame that supports the bed completely with special massaging (dual wave) motors. An adjustable bed uses the latest technology in the matter of mattresses like visco memory foam and high density foam that will make you feel as if you are sleeping on air. An adjustable bed can be lowered to as low as 15 inches suitable for children and disabled people.

An adjustable bed is available in single as well as double bed models along with manual, semi-electric and electric controls. The massage options involve different kinds of massages at different speeds with powerful but quiet motors where you can lie down and relax completely from the daily stressful experiences. An adjustable bed comes with a guarantee regarding its various components and is tested for long life and reliability. So check out an adjustable double bed at the earliest and the ultimate sleeping experience is yours along with freedom from tension and stress helping you wake up refreshed each day.

Should i buy a second hand car at auction

While it is possible to get a great deal and a bargain car at an auction, buying a used car this way isn’t always the ideal way to buy a car, there are better ways.

If it is your first time of buying a used car or you know very little about cars, then buying from an auction isn’t advisable. Perhaps the biggest problem with purchasing a car from an auction is the fact that that you have very little cover to fall back on if there should be any problem with the car. This is usually due to the auction house issuing a disclaimer, which many do, which states something such as “sold as seen”.

While many goods are covered by the Sale of Goods Act, some of the cleverer auction houses can get around this by altering the conditions of the sale by taking away the buyers rights under the Act.

If you do wish to purchase a car from an auction then it is advisable to visit an auction house several times before actually deciding to bid on a car. This way you can get used to the terminology used and the way auction houses work. It is also advisable to take someone with you who knows something about cars when you do decide to buy.

Most auction houses will hold preview days where you look at the car up for auction prior to bidding. This will give you a good chance to have a look at the vehicle.

You would be wise to consider having a vehicle data check done, which is a service that checks a vehicle’s history. It will show up really valuable things such as whether the car has been stolen, or the mileage tampered with etc.

Finally, it is essential that you know your spending limit. Don’t ever be tempted to go over that limit no matter how good a deal something may seem.

Web designing is your website doing business

Web designing is an important factor for people doing business online. Online business is happening everywhere and almost everybody is doing it these days. However simply having a beautiful website will not deliver you what you are looking for. Web designing is the amalgamation of different components. A recent study conducted by a leading research agency shows that these days more and more people come to internet for business purpose. To deliver results to customers you must have a website that caters to all their requirements.

Designing a website is a complex process involving many elements. However if a professional undertakes this work it becomes very simple for you. There are many professionals who will do the work for you for a certain amount of fee. It is advisable to leave the designing part to a professional. Before embarking on designing the website make sure that you know what exactly you are looking for. This will help you in giving a clear picture of your requirements to the pro.

Hiring a pro to do your work is a fantastic way of going about designing a website. Decide on a theme. It may be anything a color, a photograph, a logo or an image. Make use of it throughout the website. Keep a constant tab on the progress of the work done on your website. Your website must be very appealing and visually pleasing for the visitors. Take note that your site contains images and visuals which moves, flashes and talks to visitors online. This is a sure shot way of grabbing attention. Ensure that the contents in your site are regularly updated.

Have plenty of templates in your website. Templates are cheap and look very good in a website. A photograph speaks a thousand words. Add proper photographs in the right places. Photo editor can be used to make the required alterations in the photographs. You must take note that the photographs used in the site complements with the goods in which your company is dealing. Make use of proper color coordination to make your site visually appealing.

Include a site map in your website. Using site map is the surest way of keeping a website organized. Your website must be easily accessible to the visitors. With so much of competition in this field no one will go for a time consuming search to get what they are looking for. Make sure everything is properly displayed in the proper places. Another important factor which you must take note of is the target audience of your site. This is vital in determining the look of your site.

It is important look after your site properly. Check regularly to see if the information in your site is regularly updated or not. Test out to see if the links in your site are properly working or not. There is nothing more annoying than broken links to a visitor of a website.

Weight loss tip 3 moderate drinking may help you with weight loss

:
The connection between moderate drinking and avoiding heart disease is pretty much old news to most of us at this point.

But now, experts are saying that those of us who have 1-2 drinks a few times a week are less likely to become obese than non drinkers.

Finally! A Weight Loss "Do and Don't" that we can have some fun with!

Not too much fun though.

Those of us who consume 4 or more drinks daily are a whopping 46% more likely to be obese, research says. The connection between moderate drinking and avoiding heart disease is pretty much old news to most of us at this point.

This new information was based on a study of over 8,000 people conducted by Dr. James Rohrer of the Mayo Clinic and Dr. Ahmed Arif, from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

"We don't want to give people the wrong impression"...says Rohrer..."We certainly don't want to recommend that nondrinkers become drinkers just to control their weight".

If you're a non-drinker---don't panic.

The odds for moderate drinkers are only .73% better than nondrinkers for staying thin. The main message here is that a few drinks consumed socially isn't anything to worry about if that's your M. O.

Some experts don't completely agree with these findings. Dr. David L. Katz, Director of Yale University's Prevention Research Center, says that the slight reduciton in obesity risk may very well be attributed to additional healthy behaviors unrelated to drinking.

"Many health-conscious people have a daily drink because of the widely touted health benefits; it may be a constellation of behaviors in such people that lead to weight control"...says Katz..."This would produce the appearance of a weight-control benefit from moderate drinking, but it would be illusory."

Well here's my 2 cents on the matter:

As mentioned above, I feel that the primary takeaway from this research is that responsible, moderate drinkers need not be alarmed at the implications of drinking on their weight loss.

Though the overall trend presented here makes sense to me, I am a slight bit skeptical of the percentages given for risk levels.

My suspiscion comes from the fact that body mass index, or BMI, was used as a measure of obesity. As I mention in my program, BMI is not the best determination of true obesity. Its measurements, though useful, are not accurate enough to be followed to the letter---certainly not for coming up with percentages in a medical research study.

So if you choose to drink, do it moderately and responsibly. And if you don't choose to do so, that's o. k. too. WHATEVER you choose to do, make sure you're eating right and exercising daily!

The tempur pillow is always with me

I got to tell that the first times my golfing friends laughed when they saw me with the Tempur pillow under my arm. I gave them my biggest smile and started to answer their ironic comments and questions. You know “what a comfort for you, my little friend”. Many good laughs there. Now a couple of them bring their own pillows!

We are a small group of enthusiastic golfers and a couple of times per year we take a weekend off and leave for some place to play golf, enjoy the leave and our own company. If you have done that or just stayed in hotels or vacation rentals of any kind, you know what kind of mattresses and pillows there are.

In some european countries they also have these three feet long sausage-like pillows. Some too hard, you almost break your neck, and some so soft that it will not even work if you manage to double-fold it.

The mattress is of course too big to bring on a vacation but the Tempur pillow is easy to bring. Itґs smaller than an ordinary pillow and I just take it in a bag. The pillow is most important to me, I sleep great when I use it and not too great without it. It makes a big difference.

It was in the early 90ґs when I first learned about Tempur. A physiotherapist that trained our group in the pool showed us. After one of the training sessions one of the guys was complaining about how bad he used to sleep and our trainer asked him to try the mattress and pillow she had in the treatment room.

Some of us tried it for a couple of minutes and yes, perhaps this could be something for us. I bought it a couple of months later. Both a pillow and a mattress. UPS delivered and the mattress had to ”stretch out” a couple of hours before I could use it. I could hardly wait to try it and used it the same first night.

I remember that the first couple of nights felt unusual. The Tempur mattress is just like heaven, I could sleep much longer before I had to turn to the other side and there were no pressure on knees and hips any more.

Earlier that kind of pressure made me use a thin extra pillow that I could have under or between my legs. Perhaps you have had that kind of experience too and it doesnґt matter if you are thin or fat. Now itґs really a relief to sleep better, wake up and just feel relaxed and great.

The Tempur pillow took me a couple of nights to get used to. I have to admit that, and I think the reason was that it seem to be too small. It is not. The form is perfect to give your head the right balance and itґs in different sizes now, which is great as we are not all of the same size over the shoulders. After some time I also learned to turn the pillow in the mornings so I then sleep on the lower part. Guess that can have to do with the fact that Iґm more relaxed and my shoulders not tense at all.

I have used these products for more than twelve years now and also bought one more pillow. Needless to say, but I will stick to Tempur for the rest of my life.

Vitamins for health vitamin c

Most people associate Vitamin C with the ability to fight off colds and infections. There’s a medical basis for that association because Vitamin C is known to be necessary for a normal, healthy immune system.

While Vitamin C intake is fairly simple to accomplish today with either foods rich in this vitamin or Vitamin C supplements, that hasn’t always been the case. Scurvy was once a real health concern, associated with low levels of Vitamin C in the body. The problem was rampant in areas of the world where fruits and vegetables high in Vitamin C content were rare, or where people couldn’t afford to have those vegetables as part of their daily menu.

Oranges and other citrus fruits are among the more common food sources of Vitamin C. The papaya is probably the fruit with the single highest natural Vitamin C content. A medium papaya provides more than the daily recommended allowance for Vitamin C for any normal, healthy person.

Because most people associate Vitamin C with citrus fruits, you may not realize that there are some other non-citrus sources of Vitamin C. If you simply don’t like oranges or grapefruit, you can still find fruits that are high in Vitamin C to add to your diet. Strawberries and cantaloupe are among those fruits. There are some other foods that are also good sources of Vitamin C, such as peppers.

Vitamin C has also been found to be a natural antioxidant, meaning that it helps the body fight off specific health problems and diseases and may even slow some of the signs of aging. Some people think that Vitamin C will keep you from getting a cold, but the vitamin’s natural aid to the immune system is the only real aid when it comes to colds. Instead of taking Vitamin C after you’re coming down with a cold, the best course is to be sure you have sufficient levels of Vitamin C all the time.

An important fact about Vitamin C is that the body doesn’t store this vitamin as is the case with some vitamins. That means that you need to give your body new sources of Vitamin C daily to be sure the body maintains a sufficient Vitamin C level.

Most professionals seem to agree that getting Vitamin C naturally is best. But if you’re not getting sufficient amounts of this important vitamin, vitamin supplements are a good idea. Manufacturers have met the demand for more options when it comes to vitamins, including Vitamin C. You’ll find tablets, drinks and chewables, all packed with enough Vitamin C to keep your body ready to fight off the infections that naturally come your way.

Help advance the next generation of cancer drugs

You can be a part of something important. Researchers are looking for ordinary Americans to be on the front lines of public health in the U. S.

Recently, a group of cancer experts in partnership with the Coalition of Cancer Cooperative Groups ( CancerTrialsHelp. org) identified 10 high-priority colorectal clinical studies that address important research opportunities and merit support for rapid completion. Combined, these 10 large studies will need to enroll more than 17,500 people. Nine trials will explore new colorectal cancer treatments and one is a large colo-rectal prevention trial designed to enroll healthy individuals.

Patients and caregivers interested in participating in these important trials can find information through CancerTrialsHelp. org. A convenient resource called QuickLink has been built on this Web site to help learn more about these major colorectal cancer clinical trials and to easily determine if you are eligible for enrollment.

"Clinical trials are not just a vital source of information, they can be of great value to the individuals who participate in them," said Robert L. Comis, M. D., president of the Coalition of Cancer Cooperative Groups. "A common misperception that some patients receive placebo has prevented some people from participating in clinical trials." Placebos (also called "sugar pills") are rarely used in cancer clinical trials and are never used in place of treatment.

There are nearly 270 colorectal cancer studies currently available for patients in the U. S., out of over 4,500 cancer trials of all types. Now, QuickLink provides information on 10 of the largest colorectal trials currently available, along with links to patient support services.

TrialCheck® offers a fast and easy way for people to find out if they may be eligible to participate in these and other trials. Search results are displayed by proximity to the user's zip code, making it easy to find clinical trials close to home. TrialCheck is the most frequently updated searchable database of cancer clinical trials in the U. S.

Clinical trial participants stand to personally benefit as well. Patients who join cancer clinical trials are given the best available treatment or a new treatment that, based on early clinical data, could be an improvement over the current standard therapy. In addition, there are many trials available for prevention, screening and early detection of colorectal cancer or precancerous polyps.

Participants in clinical trials are vital in the fight against cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates that there will be almost 150,000 new cases of colorectal cancer diagnosed in the U. S. in 2006. Many of these patients may be eligible to participate in these clinical trials as part of their treatment, and are encouraged to learn more and talk to their doctor.

Cancer clinical trials are designed to improve upon "best available therapies" while protecting the rights and welfare of participants.

Term life insurance with return of premium

Term life insurance has always been known as a “pure insurance” because it is strictly paid upon death with no cash value if left unused. Term life insurance is relatively inexpensive for this very reason. You are paying for peace of mind and protection, knowing your family would be financially secure upon your untimely death. In the event that you are still alive at the end of your “term,” any premiums paid over the years are basically gone. Ultimately, you paid for something you did not end up needing. Those who are unhappy with that notion typically end up buying other types of life insurance such as permanent life or whole life insurances. Unlike term life insurance , these two options are “owned” and develop cash value over the years. You can even borrow against some of the policies if you have accrued enough credit.

The beauty of term life as opposed to permanent or whole life is of course the lower premiums. Cash value policy premiums are significantly more costly. Because many applicants were unhappy that they had to choose one or the other (no cash value versus something that offers some type of savings account), many insurance carriers developed a happy medium. This new offering is called Term Insurance with Return of Premium (ROP).

Benefits of Term Life with ROP

Term Life Insurance with Return of Premium (ROP) actually has more in common with forms of permanent life insurance than with true term life with a pure death benefit.

A Term life insurance with ROP policy offers partial or complete return of premiums in a lump sum if the insured is still alive at the end of the guaranteed level period, usually 15, 20 or 30 years. As with traditional term life, if the insured dies during the term, the death benefit is paid as with traditional term life insurance without a return of premium.

Term life with ROP works almost the exact same way as any other cash value policy. Premiums on this type of policy are much more costly because policy owners are refunded the premiums paid over the term if said policy owner is still alive. Like permanent life insurance, extra premiums are set aside in a savings account accumulating to an amount of money equal to the premium paid by the end of the term. While Term life with ROP serves as a type of savings account, keep in mind that the return is substantially less than other investment arenas such as stock potentials.

Aside from acting like permanent life insurance in terms of being a savings vehicle, some ROP products also allow loans on a percentage of accumulated premiums already paid. ROP policies are appealing to people who lead healthy lifestyles as they believe they will live past the term and receive the large refunded sum. Healthy owners of the ROP products plan to apply their lump sum amounts toward future expenses, such as college tuitions, weddings, opening a business, trips or a house down payment.

Check with your financial advisor if you think Term life insurance with Return of Premium might be the right choice for you. You may also obtain an online quote in minutes.

Frankincense in aromatherapy - trees tears and essential oils

The Mysterious Frankincense

Used for many thousands of years, the Frankincense tree has perhaps the greatest association with spiritual practice of any plant on earth. In most of the great ancient cultures, including the Egyptian, Babylonian, Persian, Hebrew, Greek and Roman civilizations, it has played a role in religious and domestic life. Frankincense has been sought after by kings and valued as highly as gold. More recently, the essential oil is gaining popularity with spiritual seekers and natural healers alike. What is so special about this tree that its 'pearls' were given as a gift at the birth of one of history's most revered prophets?

The Hardy Tree and its Tears

The Frankincense tree, or Olibanum, upon first glance, may seem rather unremarkable. It appears as a giant shrub, with many knurled branches topped with abundant slender leaves and occasionally, small white flowers. A native to northern Africa, it looks like it belongs in the desert, growing in some of the world's harshest conditions. But it is not the tree itself, but rather its sap that has such profound lore surrounding it. When the tree's bark is pierced with a knife (known traditionally as a 'Mingaf'), a milky-white oleoresin is exuded - thought the tree is not harmed. The resin forms droplets known as 'tears' or 'pearls', which harden into the orange-brown gum known itself as Frankincense. The English name of this natural incense is derived from the medieval French 'franc', meaning 'pure' or 'free', and from the Latin 'incensium', meaning 'to smoke'.

History's Most Popular Incense

For more than 5000 years, the hardened resin has been burned in temples throughout Egypt, China and India; the Catholic church continues to use it today during Mass. It is one of the four main ingredients in Jewish ceremonial incense, forming an important part of the Sabbath day offerings. The smoke of Frankincense (as with other ritual incense) is thought to carry prayers to heaven upon it's smoke. It is also said to deepen the breath and still the mind, making it useful for meditation and yogic practice. The incense may have health benefits as well, producing a highly antiseptic smoke, keeping churches and churchgoers free from disease.

According to ancient documents, the great Baal temple of Babylon consumed 2 and a half tons of Frankincense a year. The Frankincense trade was of immense importance in ancient times, peaking about 2000 years ago. Caravans grew to as many as 2 to 3 thousand camels in size. Cities grew up along the trade routes, and heavy taxes and fees for protection, lodging and camel fodder raised the cost of the resin considerably, so much so that it was valued as much as gold. The wealth involved inspired Alexander the Great to plot to control the region, though his death happened to preceed the invasion.

Health Benefits

Frankincense resin is thought to have a bounty of health properties - it was an ingredient in a rejuvenate face mask in ancient Egypt (it was also charred and used as the classic heavy eyeliner seen in much ancient Egyptian art), and at one time was "used to treat every conceivable ill to man". In ayurvedic medicine it is known as salai guggul, used for centuries to treat many conditions, including arthritis. Modern science has isolated the active compounds found to have anti-arthritic properties. Called boswellic acids, these components inhibit the inflammatory process, improve blood supply and prevent further cartilage reduction.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Modern natural medicine has taken to the use of the essential oil of Frankincense. The oil, having a warm, woody, sweet aroma with a hint of citrus, is steam or CO2 distilled from the resin. It is used for respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, catarrh and asthma; for wrinkles, wounds and dry skin, and in cases of rheumatism, cystitis and leukorrea.

The most important effect of the essential oil may be on the nervous system. Regarded as an antidepressant, the aroma can both relax and revitalize, and can help in cases of nervous tension and exhaustion. Frankincense oil contains sesquiterpenes, which stimulate the limbic system, the hypothalamus, the pineal and the pituitary glands. The oil is now being researched for it's ability to increase human growth hormone production. Further, it is considered to strengthen the immune system, which may in-fact occur as a result of it's uplifting properties.

Frankincense essential oil can be used in a manner similar to burning of the incense in spiritual practice. Warming in a candle lamp or direct application to the temples and third eye will quiet the mind, deepen the breath, and promote meditative stillness. It is often blended with Sandalwood, Myrrh and Cedarwood for such uses, and the single-pointed concentration it invokes is thought to allow the spirit to soar.

Experimenting with Frankincense

Frankincense resin is widely available at reasonable costs. Most is wildcrafted, being extracted from trees growing in the deserts of northeast Africa - thankfully, the resource is abundant, as the trees easily survive harvesting of the pearls. The small chunks of resin can simply be lit by themselves in a dish or similar container, and allowed to smolder and release their smoke. Frankincense is also available in prepared incense sticks and other incense preparations. In the form of your choosing, simply light and allow some quiet time to experience the deep aroma.

With the essential oil, a diffuser or warming lamp can be used to disperse the aroma throughout a space. The oil is also found in aromatherapy candles, where it is released from the heated oil beneath the burning wick. Frankincense oil can be applied directly to the forehead (it is non-irritating or sensitizing) where you can both capture the aroma and absorb the oil directly. Again, take a moment to sit quietly to perceive any effects.

The wonderful gift of the Frankincense tree is available in many ways, and has come highly recommended for many thousands of years. Try adding a little Frankincense to your life, and see what the mystery is all about!

Wall hanging creating a memory quilt

You could recreate pieces of clothing into a valuable artwork and a souvenir. This could be perhaps the greatest gift you could either give or get as a mother. You could easily create your memory quilts with the assistance of several local quilt shops. These offer quilt-making classes from beginning to the end, provided you already know the usage of a sewing machine. If sewing and quilting is not exactly your forte, these shops may help you to find someone who will allow you to help designing the quilt and create it too. Nothing can be more enjoyable then creating a unique memory quilt wall hanging. This quilting project is truly fulfilling.

If you wish to make your memory quilt extra special then do consider several points like:

• Being choosy-discarding a defective item with holes or stains is unwise. Any item may contain a fabric that you could use. You need not use the entire garment. However, you must select those items that evoke fond memories in you.

• Being creative-if your wish that your quilt looks unusual then start thinking differently. Leave squares aside except those that are to be used to square up the sides to get straight edges. You can use the bottom of a dress, round edges of sleeves or any kind of imaginable shapes inside the quilt.

• Being far-sighted-you must experiment by laying all the items on a design wall, the floor or on a large tabletop. This is done to get the final picture of the finished product. You must allow yourself the option of making changes while you can. So, go by the cardinal rule of ‘ measure twice and cut once.’ This ruled is followed by the carpenters and the quilters alike. Hence, without actually cutting the clothes simply overlay them first.

• Being sensitive to children-avoid cutting up something your child is emotionally attached to. Cutting the item in front of the child may cause trauma. So, if the item has been out of sight and mind of the child for quite sometime, it is safe to be used.

• Using textures in your favor-various fabrics are available that offers different types of surface to the quilt like cottons and mix flannels or even fur collar from coats. Most people want the material to feel good when touching it.

• Using pictures-scan the photograph of your child in a particular outfit into a computer. Then use an inkjet printer to print the photo on the fabric especially made for this printer. After this cut out the photo fabric to include it in your quilt. You can do this by sewing it upon that same outfit in the picture.

• Using stabilizing fabrics-ironing and sewing stretchable fabrics on these will ensure that your quilt does not lose its shape. Plus, you can work easily on them as well.

• Having fun while creating - your finished quilt is likely to look more loveable if you have loads of fun when creating it. After all, you must remember that it is an artwork of love!

15 reasons to join affilite programs

:
There are HUGE benefits to promoting affiliate programs with your own homebased Internet business. Let’s look at 15 of the best reasons to join affiliate programs.

  1. No Production Costs: The cost to develop and produce a new product is prohibitive for almost anyone who wants to start a home-based business. With affiliate programs, production costs aren't an issue. The product has been developed and proven - all on the merchant's nickel.

  2. Low Cost Set-up: Compared with building a brick and mortar store, starting a home-based Internet business is relatively cheap. You probably already have a desk, Internet-connected computer and word-processing software, which is all the equipment you may need to start making easy money from affiliate programs.

  3. No Fees or Licenses: I often compare doing business as an affiliate, with distributing a line of products in the real world. The biggest difference is that the distributor must often pay for a license to distribute products within a limited geographic region. Affiliate programs, on the other hand, are usually free to join, and geographic market reach is limited only by the affiliate's ability to promote his website.

  4. Sell Almost Anything: What isn't sold online? That list must be shorter than the one describing all that IS sold online. There are thousands and thousands of affiliate programs selling every product under the sun. That makes it easy to find products related to your current or planned web site.

  5. No Sales Experience Required: When I started my affiliate business, I had absolutely no sales experience. That wasn’t a problem, however. The companies I affiliated with provided excellent marketing material. Using their sales copy, I was able to get my first affiliate site up in less than a day.

  6. No Employees: Employee salaries are the biggest business expense. Although you may need or want someone to work for you on occasion, you'll never have to worry about hiring full or part-time employees while working as an affiliate marketer.

When you have a project you want to hire out, it is easy to find specialists in every computer-related field who can work for you from the comfort of THEIR own homes. You pay only for the project, and never have to worry about ongoing employeerelated benefits and deductions.

  7. No Merchant Accounts: Setting up a merchant account is time-consuming and costly. However, affiliate marketers don’t need merchant account. Merchants bear all the costs for payment processing. As an affiliate, you’ll never lose sleep over chargebacks, fraud or losing your merchant account.

  8. No Inventory: As an affiliate marketer, you can sell large items without storage concerns, even if you live in a small one-bedroom apartment.

  9. No Order-Processing: Forget the problems associated with collecting and storing names, addresses, credit card numbers, etc. The merchant does all that!

  10. No Shipping: The cost and hassle to prepare and ship products to customers worldwide could be staggering. Affiliates never have to worry about packaging supplies or postal rates.

  11. No Customer Service: Do you hate the prospect of dealing with nasty people or customer complaints? Don't worry about it! The merchant handles the snivelers.

  12. Make Money While You Sleep: What other business allows you as a sole proprietor to keep your doors open and keep making money even when you take breaks or after you go home for the night?

  13. Worldwide Marketplace: The Internet is the world's largest marketplace. You can drive more visitors to your online store in a day, than a small-town merchant will see in his or her brick and mortar business in a year.

  14. Minimal Risk: The product you chose isn't making money? Dump it. Take down your links and promote another! It's that easy. There are no long-term contracts binding you to products that don't sell.

  15. High Income Potential: If you have a job, your salary or hourly wage is probably pre-determined. Maybe there's not much, other than working overtime, that you can do to increase your income. With your own affiliate business on the Internet your income potential is limited only by your desire, effort and imagination.
No other business is so inexpensive to start yet offers such high profit potential without investing years of labor.

Affiliate programs enable you to work from Almost Anywhere in the World!

    Best Wishes.

You should have great online credit card choices and information

Our lifestyle today can be hectic and fast-paced, which limits our time, to accomplish our daily activities. That makes our need for e-commerce and technology more necessary than ever. Their combined power makes it easy to apply for a credit card online. If you have decided to apply online for a card, you will fill in an application form at the website of the credit card company. When you do, there are a few things you may want to consider as you apply for your new card:

1. The website should give you access to credit cards from all major banks including: Chase, Discover, CitiBank, American Express, Advanta...

2. The website should allow you to make credit card comparisons.

3. Information about each credit card should be explained in detail so you know the apr, balance transfer fees, cash advance fees, fixed apr, annual fees and so on.

4. You should make sure the website you visit is professionally designed and has the card applications on a webpage starting with "https". "Https" in the url means the website is secured by a reputable company.

5. You may also want to consider the type of card you want to have, i. e. gas card, airline card, reward card...

The application form you will fill out online is very similar to the one you would fill out at the bank, and the application processing method is basically the same. Credit card issuers encourage you to apply for credit cards online so they may save money on salaries, customer service, time, paper and more. Plus, when you apply online for a credit card, your information smoothly flows into the database of the credit card issuer. Usually, this leads to faster processing of your credit card application and often if you apply online for a credit card, the card you applied for will arrive to your mailbox much faster than it would arrive if you had applied in person for a card. Further, if you apply online for a credit card, you do not waste time physically approaching one credit card company at a time, instead you can compare many different cards and card issuers at one website. That will save you a great deal of time finding the right credit card.

Applying for a credit card online is a great way to get a credit card, however when you compare cards make sure you choose the one that will benefit you most.

Barcelona apartment rentals

Barcelona is a fascinating city, with a buzzing rhythm reigning in this cosmopolitan heart of the Mediterranean. There are always lots of things to explore and to visit: the Roman origins, the great medieval old city, fishing quarters, the newer modernist district, the impressive urban architecture that arrived with the Olympic Games, the design shops, the parks, the beaches, the markets. And if you suffer of a culture overdose, just enjoy Barcelona's rich gastronomy, one of its many terraces or look for a live concert in one of its many bars, theatre halls or churches. The last thing you should have to worry about is your accommodation.

These days it has become popular to rent an apartment in Barcelona. Apart from being cheaper than hotels, you will have much more space, more privacy, more flexibility, and will definitely enjoy a more personalised atmosphere and a feeling of being at home.

The problem is there are hundreds of companies renting out apartments in Barcelona right now and naturally, some are better than others.

It can be a nightmare finding a good place to stay. Imagine this - all your friends think you're amazing because you have booked an amazing apartment on "La Rambla" for a bargain price, right in the middle of summer. However, once you arrive, you soon realise that this is not the famous "Las Ramblas" in the Barcelona city centre, but "La Rambla" in Sabadell - a town about 25km outside the Catalonian capital. You're not quite as popular with your friends right now and you wish you'd spent a little more time investigating the whole apartment rental world.

So how can you avoid situations such as these? Well basically, you need to find a trustworthy rental company, one that offers quality. One where you won't find any dodgy apartments located on a fifth floor without elevator - and there are many apartments like that in Barcelona. One that doesn't offer their guests mattresses on the floor, worn-out beds and a bathroom that is oh-so-authentic but hasn't been renovated since Gaudi was still alive.

Look for a company that is fully licensed, with apartments that meet the official requirements of the Generalitat (the local Catalan government). If a company meets certain standards, there's more chance that the apartments they offer will be of a higher quality.

There are plenty of things to look for when choosing a good Barcelona apartment rental company. Below is a short list of things to check for and ask about before making a decision:

Is the apartment fully furnished?

Is there a TV, DVD player & Internet?

Does the apartment have a washing machine, iron and ironing board?

Will you have to take your own sheets and towels?

How far from the city centre is the apartment? (Ask for the address so you can check it out on Google Maps).

Are there any hidden costs such as utility bills, telephone and agency fees and tax?

Is there always someone you can contact in case of emergency?

All these questions need to be answered, but at the end of the day, the decision is yours. Make sure you have done your research and are not disappointed. If in doubt, call the company before booking. If you choose well, your friends will remain good friends for years to come along with the happy memories of a wonderful holiday. And who knows, they may even take you out for dinner to say thank you in one of Barcelona's many gastronomic wonderlands!

Why marijuana should be legal

:
Many Americans feel that Marijuana is helping fund the war on terror, but making a war on drugs and keeping Marijuana illegal has not stopped millions of Americans from smoking pot everyday. So what is the answer?

First, why is Marijuana illegal? In the 1930's William Randolph Hearst, who had significant financial interests in the timber industry testified to congress on the evils of marijuana, saying things like it make people insane and commit acts of cannibalism? at this time very few even knew what it was and to stop people from going insane Congress decided to make it illegal.

The truth is many paper manufacturers were thinking of changing from using trees to make paper to using hemp because it was cheaper and easier to grow and better for the environment, and Hearst stood to loose millions so he used his influence and testimony to help get marijuana banned in the USA.

So now that we know why it was made illegal, we can realize that not only would making it legal in the United States stop terrorist from smuggling it into the USA, but would give us another option to cutting down of millions of trees every year for paper products that can be made better from hemp.

Hemp has thousands of uses that we are unable to exploit because of its illegal status.

During WWII hemp was used for the rigging on parachutes as well as rope and material for uniforms.

Nowadays Marijuana can be used to relieve pain and some of the effect of cancer treatments and old age.

It has been proven to slow down the spreading of Alzheimer's, relieve the pressure behind the eyes from glaucoma. It also helps relieve migraine headaches and the side effect of cancer treatment.

But until the United States realizes how much money can be made from legalizing it, it will remain illegal.

This is much like the situation with online casinos in the USA. America was sending billions of dollars out of the country and the government needed to do something to keep the money here, so they banned Online Casino and just like online casinos and online gambling I believe one day the government will learn to take advantage of these things instead of just banning them.

Eventually the USA will realize that the best way to stop the flow of money out of the country is not to ban marijuana or online casinos, but to enter the market and compete.

If the USA did what Amsterdam has done the government would make not only billions in Taxes from the sales of Marijuana, but the economy would boom from all the tourism that it would bring in from all over the world.

The truth of the matter is that legalization is inevitable. The attitude of people has changed so drastically over the last 30 years, that eventually when the younger generations start to take over marijuana will eventually become legal because they understand the truth, and that is banning something only makes the market for it stronger.
